T. M. Hunt Custom Knives

"I made my first complete knife in 1998 with only a hacksaw and a few files. I still remember the feeling of accomplishment I had when I finished it, and it definitely started an addiction. Since that time, I have worked in the machining/tool and die trade which naturally allowed me to hone my knife making skills and to better understand quality materials.

Then, in May of 2014, armed with nothing more than determination and a supportive family, I left my job of almost 20 years for the last time to start T.M. Hunt Custom Knives.

The experience has been life changing. Aside from being a husband and father of two wonderful children, handcrafting heirloom quality tools for hard working people is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Every feature of the knife, from raw materials to finished product, including the heat treating and leather sheath work is done by my own two hands.

It is my goal to bring back a sense of pride in a job well done and produce finely crafted tools that will last several generations. My knives may not have belonged to your grandfather, but they can definitely belong to your grandchildren, and many more after.
