RP Knives

 

For me finding the right knife was always difficult. Finding a balance between strength, durability, and versatility aways seemed like an impossible task. So out of frustration and curiosity I decided to take the plunge into attempting to make a knife, and in that instant I was bitten and RP knives was born! In the past few months we've really started to explode and I'm very excited about the things we have in motion as well as planned for the future! We have recently moved in to a 1500 sq foot facility which has given us the ability to produce 20-30 handmade knives and axes a week!

The unique thing about our knives and axes is that from start to finish we focus on making the toughest most functional tool we possibly can. From steel selection to grind choices, strength is always on our mind. Our knives and axes are vigorously stress tested until the point of failure to ensure that our customers are truly receiving a tool that will work for them when they need it to. Our tools are in the hands of many soldiers, outdoorsman, law enforcement officers and fire fighters. When I take a second to think about that it reminds me how important it is that every knife that comes out of my shop is not only a knife but a reliable survival tool that may someday save someone's life.

In addition to our knives and axes, we make all of our accessories in house! We make our own kydex sheaths as well as leather/kydex hybrid sheaths, fire starters, rip shear holster and wooden self defense tools. We also do our own wood processing and stabilization. 

In short I would have to say what motivates me and keeps me going is the desire to make some thing better. Not just something better then what I think other makers or mass production companies are capable, but to make something better then I think I can make.
