Carter and Son Forge
Hi. I'm John, the founder of Carter & Son Forge. A self taught blacksmith by day and police officer by night. In 2011 I married my best friend and we moved out of the hustle and bustle of the city into our little piece of heaven on the outskirts of Dallas. The quiet setting and lack of neighbors made for a prime setting for me to develop my craft. My tinkering in the shop quickly became a passion for making knives, tools and wood crafts. My love of the nature and appreciation for historical past inspires my artistic expression in the items I create. My knives are either forged steel or stock removal. The wood that I use is mostly native to North Texas and is what is find on our land they include Osage orange (bodark), mesquite, pecan, red oak,persimmons, walnut and others that may come available. I take pride in my work and put 100 % into it and I back my products with the best customer service I can offer (my lovely wife.)
