WHO IS SIX THREE BLADE WORX?

My name is Michael Rice. I am the Founder of Six Three Blade Worx. I started out just looking to provide a service for a small niche in the knife market, colored g-10 liners for ESEE knives. In the ESEE community, a common complaint was that the knives are ugly. Now, I know why ESEE built there knives the way they did and they are rock solid, but I figured I could offer a mod that would add a little flare for that knife owner that was looking to personalize their knife. This soon transformed into creating complete custom scales for the ESEE knives line up. I credit the ESEE forum family for all my success, I love all you crazy nut jobs.

From there as my reputation grew among the members, I began branching out with different projects.  Shortly, I was able to accommodate many modifications needed for other knife brands, including full knife builds. My motivation behind all this has never changed, offering a quality product for a reasonable price. 

I work out of my small shop that is attached to my house. I work 40 hours a week at my primary employment and I have a family that I love, so I try and make sure I keep my priorities straight. Everything I create is handmade, no CNC Machines for me. I like challenging new projects, I try not to say no to anything, I really enjoy what I do and I hope to give the knife enthusiast another source for accessories. 

I find that the knives we carry define who we are or maybe who we want to be. When you learn what knives individuals carry, I feel you instantly know a little more about that person. We always formulate an idea based on first impressions.  I hope that I can help the knife owner define who they are with the knife they carry.

My passion for knives stems from my love for the outdoors, backpacking, mountaineering, camping and hunting.  Each activity gives me a great sense of joy and peace. Sharing in these activities with family and friends makes it even better. I feel like I come from the last generation that played outside and that will never end. My mom used to call me in for dinner and now my wife does. I love seeing my kids get into the same activities I enjoy and I hope to teach and share whatever I can with whomever I can.
