Recycled Firefighter

 

I have always loved creating things with my hands- from rustic barn wood tables, to leather items, to backpacking hammocks. I've grown to enjoy the design and prototyping process that goes along with creating a superior product. With that said, I've poured thousands of hours into teaching myself how to sew and create amazingly durable and eco friendly products. 

 

I've chosen Canvas Fire Hose as my main material for several reasons. Fire hose has an amazing story. This stuff literally helps save lives before it ever comes into my shop. Fire hose also is some of the most durable fabric that I've come across- just think what it must endure during its life of putting out fires. Lastly I've chosen to make my products out of fire hose because it helps the environment by keeping tons of this stuff out of the landfill.

 Each product I sell on my site goes through a lengthy design and testing process and once I've settled on a quality design it is sewn with a 50 year old industrial Pfaff 545 sewing machine using size 90 thread. This old work horse will sew through your finger in a heart beat, something I've personally learned the hard way!
