Humminbird Hammocks

 

Hummingbird Hammocks started with a simple desire to build a hammock. Our Founder and Designer, Chris Loidolt, looked around his parachute rigging loft and used the skydiving materials he had on hand to build himself a hammock. The use of these materials, combined with the design and construction techniques borrowed from the Parachute Industry Association created a hammock that is stronger, far lighter, and much smaller packing than any other hammock on the market. He realized shortly after, (thanks, in no small part, to some suggestions and encouragement from friends and family) that it was unfair to keep these ultralight all hammocks to himself.

 

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, we are set up in Colorado and building the highest quality, lightest weight hammocks (or largest if you like the Mega) right here in the good old US of A.  We work to bring you the best gear we possibly can and are committed to finding ways to reduce the ounces in your pack so you can better enjoy your hikes and activities.
